About GSCM Academy
What is GSCM Academy?+
GSCM Academy is a live virtual learning academy dedicated to English Medium. We provide in-depth teaching, interactive learning, individual academic coaching, recordings, and supervised exam preparation.
Who are GSCM Academy classes for?+
Our classes are designed for students following the Sri Lankan G.C.E. Advanced Level curriculum in English Medium, including students preparing for upcoming A/L examinations. Further categories will be added in the future.
What makes GSCM Academy different from mass classes?+
We focus on individual attention, active student participation, and supervised academic coaching. Students are encouraged to speak, ask questions, clarify doubts, and engage with the coach during live lessons—not simply listen passively.
What does "academic coaching" mean?+
Our educators guide students beyond teaching the lesson. They help students understand concepts deeply, identify learning gaps, practise challenging questions, prepare for examinations, and progress with confidence.
Classes and Learning
Are classes conducted live?+
Yes. GSCM Academy delivers live virtual classes through the student learning platform.
Do I need to travel to attend classes?+
No. All classes are conducted online, allowing students to learn conveniently from home.
Can I watch a class recording if I miss a live session?+
Yes. Enrolled students can access class recordings for revision or to catch up on a missed lesson, subject to the access period of their enrolled class.
Are students expected to participate in class?+
Yes. Our sessions are interactive. Students are encouraged to speak, answer questions, discuss concepts, and ask for clarification during lessons.
What learning materials will I receive?+
Depending on the class, students may receive lesson notes, presentations, tutorials, video illustrations, practice activities, past-paper guidance, and other relevant learning materials.
Will there be mock examinations?+
Yes. GSCM Academy conducts supervised mock-exam activities to help students practise examination techniques, identify areas for improvement, and build confidence.
Can I ask subject-related questions outside the live class?+
Yes. Enrolled students can send subject-related questions to their academic coach through their profile on the learning platform.
Registration and Enrolment
How do I register?+
Click the Register button on the website and create your free student account. The system will create your profile and assign a unique Student User ID.
Do I have to pay to create an account?+
No. Registration is free. You only pay when you enrol in a class.
How do I enrol in a class?+
After registering, log in, browse available classes, select the class you want, choose a payment option, and complete the enrolment process.
Can I enrol in more than one class?+
Yes. One GSCM Academy account can be used to enrol in multiple available classes.
Where can I find my class links, recordings, and materials?+
After signing in, visit your student dashboard. Active enrolments will display access to live-session links, recordings, materials, and academic support.
Payments
What payment methods can I use?+
You can pay manually by Visa or Mastercard, or by bank transfer with payment-proof upload. Automatic card deductions are not used.
What currency are the fees in?+
All fees and payments are in Sri Lankan rupees (LKR).
When is my monthly payment due?+
Payments cover calendar months. The next month’s payment can be made from the reminder sent three days before the 1st.
How much will I pay if I enrol during the month?+
Your first payment is based on the scheduled class sessions remaining that month, not the number of days remaining. The checkout page will show the amount and the period it covers.
How do I pay by bank transfer?+
Choose Bank Transfer and Verification in your dashboard, follow the displayed bank details, and enter the system-generated payment reference exactly in the transfer’s reference or remarks field. Then upload your proof of payment and submit the transfer details for review.
How long does bank-transfer verification take?+
Transfers are normally reviewed within one working day. Your access is activated after the payment is approved.
What should I do if my bank-transfer proof is rejected?+
Check the rejection reason shown in your dashboard, correct the issue, and upload the proof again. Contact GSCM Academy support if you need help.
When will I get access after paying by card?+
Access is activated after the payment gateway confirms that your card payment was successful.
Will I receive payment reminders?+
Yes. Reminders are sent three days before the 1st and on the 1st. If payment remains outstanding, an overdue reminder is sent three days after the due date.
What happens if I do not pay on time?+
The payment may be marked overdue, and access may be suspended if payment is not completed by the applicable deadline. The system’s payment rules allow payment from the 1st until the first class date of that month.
Can I pay for future months in advance?+
You may pay for the next month when the payment option becomes available from the reminder sent three days before the 1st. Payment further ahead is not available.
Can I receive a discount or free access?+
An authorised GSCM Academy administrator may grant a concession of 1% to 100% for a specific class or classes. A 100% concession means no payment is required for the covered period; partial concessions reduce the amount you need to pay.
Where can I see my payment status and receipts?+
Check the Payments & Enrolments section of your student dashboard for payment status, payment history, billing period, reference number, and receipts.
Technical
What do I need to join a live class?+
A stable internet connection and a modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox) — on desktop or mobile. No downloads required.
What if my connection drops during a live class?+
Just rejoin from your class page — you won't lose your spot, and the full recording will be available afterwards regardless.
Support and Privacy
How can I contact GSCM Academy?+
Use the website contact form for general enquiries regarding classes, registration, schedules, payments, or technical support.
Where should I send subject-related questions?+
Please use your student profile on the learning platform to send academic or subject-related questions directly to your academic coach.
Is my personal information protected?+
GSCM Academy collects and uses student information only for account management, enrolment, learning support, communication, and payment administration. Our privacy practices align with Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act, which regulates the processing of personal data and applies to organisations offering services in Sri Lanka.
